Duties: As an apprentice you will start on the shop floor and learn the CNC Machining techniques on both the milling and turning machines. You will learn to understand different metals, not only to supply roll tooling as standard but also be trained on bespoke engineering projects with complex measurements. Eventually to become responsible enough to set up and run your own machines.

Duties: We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a skilled workforce and become a toolmaker apprentice within an industry leading company. The main aspect of the role involves bench skills and techniques by using conventional tools and is a very practical hands on role. You will develop skills using machinery and a variety of hand tools to assist with the production of press tools. Some of the toolmaking processes cover Die Casting, Gas Injection, back injection on to plastics, carpet, cloth, wood and compression of laminated materials. You will also learn to operate CNC milling and turning machines, cylindrical and surface grinders, bed-out press and the cranes.
