Duties: As an apprentice you will start on the shop floor and learn the CNC Machining techniques on both the milling and turning machines. You will learn to understand different metals, not only to supply roll tooling as standard but also be trained on bespoke engineering projects with complex measurements. Eventually to become responsible enough to set up and run your own machines.

Skills required: Have at least 5 GCSE’s o 1 must be a good Maths grade o 1 to be science. A specialist engineering company that supply and manufacture a range of tooling and pattern making. Using a range of skills the company project manage alongside the design and manufacture using the following CAD/CAM Jigs and Fixtures 5 Axis CNC Machining Model Making Vacuum Form Tooling Foam Tools Composite Tooling The company work in a diverse market including aerospace, automotive, motor sport, rail and commercial.
Duties: You will be working with skilled engineers on pattern and tool making. Duties will include but are not limited to the following: - Producing tools such as jigs, dies and moulds - using cutting and shaping tools such as lathes, presses and cutting machines - carrying out basic machine maintenance - Following engineering drawings - Working to client specifications and job sheets - General workshop duties - Using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and guages

Job Description: Our client is the UK’s leading manufacturer of mild steel screwed pipe fittings. They have developed their product range to include conveyance tube, stainless steel fittings and special turned parts. They are the manufacturer of the genuine Unicone ® hose connection system. My client’s products are used extensively around the world in the anodising industry. They are continually re-designing existing products and introducing new patterns in partnership with their customers.
Duties: This is an opportunity for an apprentice to learn general engineering and machining skills with a view to eventually becoming a CNC machinist / programmer. Main duties will include: • Milling • Turning • Bench fitting • Health and Safety • Set & run CNC turning & machining centre • Daily/monthly maintenance requirements of machines • Solving production/process problems • Monitor CNC machines & work in progress • In progress quality assurance including first off inspection • Operating & using quality/inspection equipment
